2 days into term

It's now 2 days into term and I feel like I've been in Aberdeen for about 3 weeks now. Is that good or bad? In the past 2 days, I have sorted out my timetable, decided that I'm going to attend the lectures for a module I'm not even taking, enjoyed that lecture more than every other lecture so far (ironic is it not?), ate loads of junk food and got fat.

That is how life should be.

If you haven't figured out by now, this will just be mindless babble about my life.

Oh I also watched Keeping Up With The Kardashians. That does not make me a bimbo.
I just happen to find that show extremely entertaining. Okay the fact that they have very very pretty clothes help as well but mostly I like it because that family is funny, and the show is perfect for one who needs a break from everything else and just need some entertainment. This is just my opinion though, some people think they are annoying or as my dad says: "What is that garbage you're watching?"

Each to his own I guess.

Also started watching a HK drama about lawyers and police. I love HK police dramas! They are always so good! So glad I started watching that because before I was only following a Taiwan Drama and it was so BORING. Taiwan dramas have gone down in standards! Back in the days~ they were so good. Now........ 我無話可說.

I did say this was just a mindless thing, I've now ran out of things to say.

Enjoy dinner ^^

Start of Term Dinner @ Frankie & Benny's

Yes, term has started :( I don't feel like I've had a holiday at all. More like a massive revision sesh. I believe my uni should change their exam policies... exams before holidays please. Thank you very muchy :D

But as things stand now, term has indeed started. Came back to the grey city of gloom and doom yesterday with Bex, Jon and Sean and since our kitchen wasn't cleaned yet (and we were starving) we decided to go for dinner - at Frankie & Benny's ^^ Cannot remember the last time I went, oh wait it was Thursday lol. But before then it was a good few months. Unfortunately dinner didn't go down well but at least the food pictures are pretty :)

Orange and Lemonade

Kawaii coke pint glass - can I have one?

My cheese and garlic mushrooms - SO GOOD! I love mushrooms!

Warm doughsticks with garlic sauce, very yummy too ^^ And filling for a starter.

My main - Chicken + Bacon + Cheese Tortilla. The cheese was too much. Usually I don't mind cheese but this was just... I got more of a sore throat from the cheese than from the fries. I could only force myself to manage 3/4 of it before giving up.

Coleslaw ahhh!! Dislike :( Veggies are evil.

Dinner was good because of company but the waiter was kinda odd. He saw that we were finished with our food. In fact he saw more than once, but never once did he make the effort to come over to collect our finished dishes, not until we asked for the bill. Jonny thinks the waiter looks like Ryan Gosling. He does not ><

After dinner.. I had the runs. Really bad and gross (yet I'm still sharing haha).

Moral of the story: Don't mix orange and lemonade with cheesy tortillas!

A Snowy Trip :)

Thursday just passed was the day of my last exam and since Eric was going down on wed, I thought I might take advantage and hitch a ride :D Driving is better than train!!

OOTD - My arms look fat ==" Check out my short legs hahaha

Close up... My face looks fat. I'm sure the camera makes me look rounder!!

And off we go!!

*There are many MANY pictures of snow...*

Snow on the side~ I actually thought there would be more

Pretty picture 1

Pretty picture 2. Half the time when I was taking a picture, Eric slowed down/stopped, so glad there were no cars behind!! I'm glad he stopped tho, it was so pretty!
This is definitely a sight you will never get in Singapore. But then there's no snow in Singapore anyways, all there is is rain and shine. And the rain is warm as well hahaha I remember in Taiwan last year a few of us climbed a mountain and when we got to the top I did the classic "scream when you're on top of a mountain" shizzle. Next thing I know it was chucking down rain - WARM rain. Amazing because it was so hot. We walked down in the rain. Ended up with mudless shoes :D

Almost perfect picture

The sun is huge!! Eric's windshield looks like it's been pooped on lol

Hello!!

Where the sun go?

Cannot see.. ahhhh ><

So I resort to taking pictures of me xD

Ah hello again

I thought these shots were artistic so I put more up! Good no? Photography blood is in my genes!

Got to Deen and we were starving... sushi is the place for lunch!! And for more camwhoring.. of food :P

"This is the cutest wasabi container I've seen!!" *gush*

This plate originally had 6 pieces of sushi.. but then...
"Eric!!"
"What"
"Don't eat.. I want a picture"
*Puts sushi in mouth*
5 left and I thought I could still take a nice picture
"Okay don't move"
*He moves sushi* >.>
"Eric move it back...I want picture..."
"Nhut"... No wonder they say girls mature first :P

My katsu prawns yum yums!

That was all for wednesday :D I got dropped off at flat and spent my day studying and running errands... Opening a new bank account is so 麻煩 (means troublesome).. I had to run from bank to new bank, then back to bank then new bank again.. If new bank wasn't offering higher interest I wouldn't bother!

Tried to study as much as I could on wednesday but tbh I think I was past studying by then, Candy Crush was more fun. I'm on level 122 now! :D :D Then on Thursday I woke up with crazy stomach cramps and had to buy Panadol because I couldn't find painkillers in the flat. And I thought my exam was from 9-10 but it was actually 9-11. What a spaz. I need a new brain.

On the way bacccckkk... more snow!!

Train was going too fast for poor iPhone camera to catch up, but see how much snow!

At Insch I think..? I was so excited the train was stopping so I can take nice pictures of the hill.. Then it stopped infront of the overhead crossing... ><'

My winter wonderland <3

There was actually a stream somewhere which I thought was amazing and it would be really cool if I could go there to take pictures, but I think it'll just be a dream~ I don't even have a decent camera haha just a phone :P But it's good enough for all the food. Food is good, everyone loves food.

2nd semester starts tomorrow!! I dislike!! Haven't even had time to relax. Oh I finally watched Lord of the Rings 1&2 - yes I've never watched it until a few days ago. Watched 1 on thursday when I got home. I was so excited, went to get microwave popcorn and everything. Propped myself on the sofa and movie start!! :D Popcorn good! Halfway through the movie...ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Okay not literally but I was so tired.. and honestly I did not think it was that interesting. I actually started surfing the web. Had to wiki the rest of the story to know what happened. So glad number 2 was better. I like 2 ^^

Now I just need to watch 3 :D

I just realised I can post about many random things.

Why I Am So Short

I was just revising a minute ago (literally!) when I came to the realisation to why I am so short!

STRESS is the answer!!!

Did you know that when you are stressed your body produces a hormone called cortisol. In the short term, cortisol doesn't do any major harm to your body but if you are constantly exposed to it, it can cause physiological changes.

One of the effects of long term cortisol exposure is GROWTH INHIBITION!!

Here is my little train of thought:

Exams = Stress = Cortisol released = Growth inhibition = Being a short-assed human
Make sense no?

I know I am probably spewing ridiculously wrong information as usual but it must be linked somehow. Throughout my childhood, ever since starting primary school, I have been plagued with exams non stop. I grew up in Singapore - which is this little country in South-East Asia (Never heard of it? You have to visit it! Its amazing!!!) - where school dominated most children's lives. Those of you who are Asian (or brought up in Asia) you will know how competitive school is and how stressful it was on us kids. You are talking about a country where parents complain if teachers aren't giving enough homework and if their children are not being tested enough. Somehow a good teacher is one who hands out homework on a regular basis. I am not joking by the way. I have this vague memory of someone mentioning that someone's parents' phoned school demanding that teachers gave their children more homework. Tell me why I didn't get enough growth hormone to make me tall so I could pursue my fate as a model on the French runways.

On top of homework, we got exams too. In my first 2 years of primary school, I had 4 exams each year (CA1, CA2, SA1, SA2). Not tests. Exams. CA1 and CA2 was after the 1st and 3rd term respectively and SA1 and SA2 after each semester (1 semester = 2 terms). We are talking about when I was 6/7 here. Afterwards the government decided that having 4 exams a year was too stressing on our little minds so they decided to cut the CAs and stick with 2 a year!! Hurray!! >.> That was still 2 too many if you ask me. Yes we had 2 exams each year but we still had countless tests in between and with the parents harping that "so and so got this many marks, why can't you do better??" it's a miracle that I even grew taller at all haha

Personally I don't understand why there is a need to give us so many exams when we are kids (maybe some of my Asian counterparts beg to differ?) because childhood is a time to have fun and explore, not finish school at 1. Have maths tuition from 3-5, english tuition from 5-7, piano lessons from 8-9 etc etc. Childhood is supposed to be one of the best times in life, how can it be if it is clogged up with all this junk about needing to get better grades and top the class or the year?? I am not saying grades aren't important because in society today, that piece of paper means everything. But it's not just IQ, but EQ as well. There are many university graduates nowadays who have amazing qualifications yet their one weakness is that they are unable to think out of the box because they spend all their time studying and have no time or interests for extracurricular activities which can not only be relaxing, but expand your social circle and even teach you something new.

So yes, that's why I'm short.

Ps.. my fussy eating habits might have contributed slightly too :P

An unhealthy week!

This is my first exam week and I'm happy to say that it's finally over!! I still have one more exam to go but it's next thursday and relaxing for a night doesn't hurt right? Besides, blogging is cool :D

Being back in Aberdeen means one thing - an unhealthy lifestyle. Our kitchen wasn't fixed yet so I had an amazing week of living on takeout, going out to eat, or simply just not eating.

Here's some pictures of my week~ word of warning, it's going to be picture filled.
My new "kitchen" - it's actually the dining table in the living room. The microwave and toaster had to be moved because there was too much mess. You cal also see there's no food except for junk food.

This was actually my lunch for one of the days :(

Nando!! I'm finally part of the Nando's family!! :D Okay usually I don't like Nando's but I was so hungry I actually didn't care. YOU CAN GIVE ME ALL THE CHICKEN I'LL EAT IT!

全家福 <3
Burger ^^ I wanted chicken wings but they didn't have any. Why?? >< But the burger was good

Back to Cj's. Have green tea be healthy :D

California rolls yum!

My Garaage (pronounced ga-ra-gay, not garage as i thought) Chicken

With photo filter. This one using PuddingCam. It's my favourite filter atm

I love camwhoring! So I took some yesterday whilst at Eric's, waiting to surprise someone for their birthday :)
Hello :)

Kawaii-ne?
What is that green light??

Steph's accidental photobomb haha

Whilst I was fraping Eric, he was... taking a picture of me fraping him?? I suck at frapes by the way!! NO ONE LIKED IT!!! BOO. I need some fraping lessons from Jonny.

Funny card at Paperchase - for all the football fans out there!

Me this morning, in revision mode!

And shopping before train ^^ Look nice? I bought them both, from Zara :)

And that's all for the week! I am aware this is not a very wordy post but am very tired lah. Sleep in no. 1 on the agenda right now. And I am also skint. Someone tell me how I can save money!!!

Okay snooze time *snooorrreeee*
